WHAT IS TAILBONE PAIN/ COCCYDYNIA?

  • Tailbone pain, called “coccydynia,” is pain in and around the small triangular bone at the very bottom of your spinal column.
  • It refers to the pain originating the tailbone often caused by trauma or injury.
  • Patients show a combination of symptoms for the condition. The symptoms of Coccydynia also depends upon the unique anatomy of the patient. But the common symptom is pain in the tailbone area which often increases with sitting

What are the Causes?

  • Trauma-like – injury caused by sudden fall or a fracture.
